History of the SeatGuru Name
SeatGuru.com was a much-loved website for aircraft seat maps, passenger seat reviews and seat advice. It helped travellers identify better seats and avoid less desirable ones before flying. The original website launched in 2001 and was acquired by TripAdvisor in 2007. On 31 October 2025, SeatGuru.com officially closed and began redirecting visitors to TripAdvisor.
SeatGuru.Online was created as a nostalgic tribute to a memorable name that many 10,000’s of travellers still recognise. We wanted to keep the name visible for people who remember how useful it was when planning a journey.
SeatGuru.Online is an independent flight-comparison website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the former SeatGuru.com or TripAdvisor.
